Our group, led by Marc A. Marti-Renom, at the National Center for Genomic Analysis - Centre for Genomic Regulation (CNAG-CRG) develops and uses experimental and computational approaches to characterize the molecular regulation of cells by studying the structure of macromolecules and their complexes. In particular, we focus on regulatory molecules such as RNA and chromatin. The MarciusLab is very interdisciplinary (the team has been composed by biologists, biochemists, physicists, architects, mathematicians, statisticians, pharmacists, molecular biologists, and geneticists), young, international and dynamic. We aim to make the stay of our people as fun as possible while enjoying science.
PhD student: We are looking for candidates with experience in computational methods for analyzing next generation sequencing datasets. Candidates should have a background in computational methods for transcriptomics (also desirable spatial transcriptomics). Experience in coding Python (preferably) and/or R is a prerequisite.
